How to Get Traffic to Your Website
While keyword research can at first be intimidating you'll have time to experiment and have plenty of opportunities to test your keywords. By setting aside a testing budget for PPC (Pay Per Click) or SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you will not only test keywords and your landing page but will also learn what works and what doesn't so you can take those learning experiences into account when setting up your PPC campaign.
A PPC (Pay Per Click) campaign can be thought of as a series of experiments. After you start running an experiment, it is not unusual for some results to be reported within a short period of time while others may take much longer. When you have data to report on a fair sample of visitors, the data will begin to replicate the patterns that you see in your Organic search.
Start Your Research
You should find good keyword research tools to help you with your research. An example is The Local Search Tool, which provides statistics from the four major search engines: Google, Yahoo, MSN Bing, and Ask.com. All you have to do is enter the name of a city into the search box and your city will be included in the list.
Another example is the Wordtracker Keyword Tool. This is a great free keyword tool that will help you to identify keywords that are similar to the ones that you are looking for.
Finally, Google has a Keyword Tool that will help you to identify keywords that are fluctuating in the search results. This is a good sign that your keywords are probably turning points aimed at attracting more traffic and turning points that will attract traffic.
Combine Results Through Analytics
Your analytics account will reveal a lot of information about your traffic. But you need to be able to analyze more than just the visits that come to your website. Analytics will help you determine the keywords that more easily lead to sales conversions. This is a great way to boost the performance of your website and make more sales in the long run.
Write A Blogger Except You Will Get Traffic
If you are familiar with Google Analytics then you will know that the traffic to your website is important to your website and as such, you need to make sure that you are targeting the right keywords to get traffic to your website. You should be able to analyze the keywords that best describe the pages of your website, the traffic of the referring sites, the traffic that comes to your website within the search results, and the keywords that you use in the blogs that you have created.
Make Sure That You Have Tons Of Backlinks
Traffic is only one part of the success of your blog. Search engine optimization is a huge part of the equation as well. Without the search engine optimization that you set up for your blog, you will make no headway and you will not see traffic. nor will your blog survive. So, you need to make sure that you are spending your time creating backlinks to your site instead of writing articles with the main goal of creating traffic to your site.
Keywords
Any of the search tools will be able to help you to determine the keywords that you should be using for your blog. Remember to make sure that you are choosing keywords that are relevant to the product or service that you are selling.
Analyze Your Traffic
After you have chosen a keyword, you need to know the statistical information for that word. For example, how many visitors did I receive on my blog? Another thing I like to do is to search for my blog by using the "site:" command on Google to see all of the sites that have posted information on my blog. Any of the sites that have posted information on my blog should post again on my blog using the "Headline" word.
Write An Article
I like to use articles to get traffic to my blog. I write about 350 articles and post them on my blog using the headline word as the anchor text on every post. That means that I have a link from the article to my blog. If I have a blog, I am sure to get traffic from it. Many of the world's biggest authors are using blogs to get traffic to their sites and services.
